Microbial ecologists are invited to propose dynamic roundtable sessions for ISME20, shaping engaging, forward-looking discussions that highlight emerging ideas and transformative advances in science.
Roundtable Sessions at ISME20 offer a unique, flexible platform distinct from traditional symposia, enabling lively, in-depth debate on emerging questions in microbial ecology. These sessions are designed to spark active exchange, encourage contrasting viewpoints, and highlight innovative, even provocative, scientific directions. We welcome topics that push boundaries—whether conceptual, ecological, or methodological.
Roundtable proposals are now open, and the submission deadline is 7 February 2025. Each proposed session should center on a compelling “hot topic” at the forefront of microbial ecology or on a cutting-edge methodological advance.
The Roundtable Sessions will be held on Monday evening, 17 August 2026.
