Applicants should have a strong background in bioinformatics, with expertise in analyzing large-scale omics datasets, and programming (e.g., Python, R). Experience in marine microbiology, microbial ecology, or related fields is highly desirable. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative research at the intersection of oceanography, microbiology, and computational biology. Join us to explore the hidden dynamics of marine microbial life!

The successful candidate must have the following skills/qualifications:

• Ph.D. in biological sciences, computational biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, oceanography, or microbiology is required.
• Convincing publication record.
• Strong computational skills and experience analysing ‘omics’ data sets. Experience in
handling large datasets (e.g., high-throughput sequencing data), programming and
scripting (e.g. Python, R).
• Profound experience in molecular techniques (DNA, RNA extraction & purification).
• Strong written and spoken English language communication skills.
• Highly motivated, organized, and independent.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, willing to mentor students and fellows.

In addition, the following qualifications are desired and will be given weight:
