From pollution to resource: microbial solutions for a cleaner future

From pollution to resource: microbial solutions for a cleaner future

From wastewater treatment plants to industrial effluents, microbes are transforming the way we tackle pollution, in some cases converting waste into valuable products, including biofuels, bioplastics, and clean water. This session will consider advances in the microbial degradation and biotransformation of pollutants from the manipulation of single organisms to whole communities, including for the recovery of energy, nutrients and other useful products.
